One of my best purchases when it comes to MIDI controllers. As a guitarist first, it is very natural for me to use the chromatic layout of notes and the ability to highlight different scales and build your custom modes of note layouts is just fenomenal. I use this for composing, both rhythmical and melodic parts, and frankly it works better than any other keyboard MIDI controller for me. I find myself jamming with it much more than with any other MIDI controller that I used in the past. I use it with FL Studio and even though it is not natively supported I manage to get a lot of mileage from this device with FL. The Launchpad even outside of Ableton Live works great as a fairly universal MIDI daily driver. I recommend it to anyone for whom keyboard isn't their primary and most intuitive way of approaching musical ideas, and especially to people with background on guitar or other string instruments.
